PressReader is available on iOS, Android, Blackberry and soon on Window 7 devices, and it provides users and newspaper enthusiasts with access to over 1,800 same day, FULL-CONTENT, local, national and international newspapers. The UK’s first interactive picnic mobile phone app launched today!
So if you fancy a picnic this weekend, check out Great British Picnics, free to download at the App Store.
The app features over 600 UK picnic locations (and over 30 recipes) with travel details, Google maps API and satelite navigation.
The interactive map allows users to rate the spots they’ve been to, save their favourites or upload their own picnic spots! Users can review spots and share with the app community and the ‘3D’ view means people can see messages, photos and tips left by other picnickers. App users can move the camera around their location until they find one and also leave their own ‘I Woz ‘Ere’ messages.

Many thanks for your comment regarding my post on DPreview – not all of the apps are paid for, Photo Tools Pro for example is the paid for version of Photo Tools and we mention this within the post. We also mentioned Photographer’s Contract Maker that’s free on Android, iExposure free on iOS, Photographic Light Meter free on Android, Eye-Fi free on iOS and Android. The others range in price from as little as $0.99/£0.69 up to $24.99.
At the beginning of the article we state that this is not an exhaustive list of tool apps and is intended only as an introduction to the variety of apps that are currently available. Rather than list the huge variety of simple depth of field apps or gps apps we took the view of mentioning tool apps that had that functionality as well as tons of others, for example Photo Buddy – iOS or Photo Tools – Android Free.

I bought 645 Pro for my iPhone 5 a couple of days ago. Yesterday I installed an update (Oct 10, 2012). Now the application will not open. It starts to open, but immediately shuts down.
Will you be issuing another update to fix this problem?
