An Incredible Video Of WorldWide Android OS Domination

This YouTube video is phenomenal it demonstrates the activation worldwide of Android phones from October 2008 – January 2011. In many ways, it paints a very clear picture demonstrating how Google’s Android OS has become the current top OS for smartphones in the world.

Bear with the video, it takes a while to get going, but as soon as the Motorola Droid launches the 3D world lights up like fireworks on a dark night. Some dramatic music would go well in the background with this video, but keep watching and wonder at the significance of this amazing film.

Heads up to Flowing Data for this amazing link. Just watch it for yourself, personally I can’t help but wonder how those black areas, notably Africa, could be more populated with Android. It seems they have managed with Nokia’s cheaper handsets on the Symbian OS, seems to me there’s a market there that needs addressing and if Nokia are not going to scoop it up, someone should, but it needs to be done with a tight budget in mind.
