For GPS tracking and such, my personal favorite is RunKeeper. It’s quite similar to CycleMeter but :
    – I find it much more precise
    – I like the interface better
    – I find their website more user friendly

But… there’s no option to stop the timer when you are not moving (water stops, traffic light,…).

    • Aracely

Actually they do have a button that you can select and it will automatically stop when you do. When you start moving again, it will continue counting.

  • smJung

I don’t know why this article doesn’t mention about most famous applications such as BikeMateGPS, Endomondo, Runkeeper, cyclometer, etc.

    BikeMateGPS shows unique speedometer design.
endomondo and runkeeper quite simple to use.

  • Indoor Cycle Training Guy

For those cycling in the gym as well as on the road, the iPad or iPhone (or for that matter any other smart device such as an Android phone or Android tablet) also makes a great platform for playing indoor cycle training videos. There are a number of suppliers offering great downloadable videos, two of the best being Ride Fit (http://www.ride-fit.com) and The Sufferfest (http://www.thesufferfest.com). These types of training video make your indoor cycling workout fun, entertaining and goal orientated meaning participants are more likely to adopt a regular training program.

Not so long ago I found out new app – Cyclist Ultimate which is supposed to replace my bike computer. Cyclist Ultimate possess all necessary features from cycle computer and even more. I consider Cyclist Ultimate is the best computer app for iPhone. But I’m a little bit disappointed that they do not have plans to port it to Android 🙁
