Apple iPhone 5 Official Announcement Due September 7, 2011
Looks like a date has been set, MacRumors reports, having seen the information on Japanese site, Kodawarisan (who went on to confirm that this information came from a ‘strong’ source), that the next expected media event will fall on September 7, 2011. With similar dates last year and the introduction of the iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle models, this year we are expecting the announcement of the iPhone 5 as well as the official launch of iOS 5.
Presumably if Apple do announce the iPhone 5 on September 7, we won’t be able to get our hands on them until October at the earliest – but whenever we do, we know it will be like Christmas come early. Bring it on Apple.
As expected, there’s no official word from Apple on the matter…
