iPhone Photography Masterclass

The Guardian are hosting an iPhone Photography Masterclass with Richard Gray at their offices Kings Place, London, N1 9GU on 24 September 2012 between 7-10.30 pm.

Notes from The Guardian explain that ‘This masterclass will take you through the key developments and features of the mobile photography world and it will give you an insight into some of the key apps and techniques that make the genre so exciting and accessible. 
The guest speakers are leading proponents in specialist areas of iphoneography: event photography, candid street portraiture and landscapes. Together, the speakers will give a comprehensive overview of trends and techniques in mobile photography today.

Richard Gray: The UK’s first lecturer in mobile photography (at Kensington & Chelsea College), he has spoken and presented at many photography events and is also a prolific writer and blogger (iphoggy.com), with a book on photography with the iPhone soon to be published. His iPhone photos have appeared in various iphoneography exhibitions. He is also a professional music photographer (@rugfoot on Instagram, Twitter and flickr)’.

Joanne Carter is a British photography journalist, editor, curator, and the founder of *TheAppWhisperer.com*, one of the world’s leading platforms dedicated to mobile photography and art. Since its launch in 2009, TheAppWhisperer has become an international hub for artists of all levels to discover, learn, exhibit, and engage with contemporary photographic practice.Built on principles of inclusivity, accessibility, and artistic excellence, Joanne has spent almost two decades championing mobile photography as a serious artistic medium. Through interviews, critical essays, exhibitions, competitions, and education, she has helped shape and document the evolution of mobile art on a global scale.Her work has taken her internationally, lecturing on photography and mobile art at institutions and events including the Museum of Art in Seoul, South Korea, alongside appearances in the UK and Europe.
