FiLMiC Pro 2 – Significant Update And Alert!

I’ve been chatting with the developers of FiLMiC Pro 2 today and need to make you aware of some key issues going on with this app and FiLMiC Pro.

Due to changes within iOS6 the developers are no longer able to support 60fps. Consequently, you can now update FiLMiC Pro to support the camera features offered in FP2. Therefore, the next (FREE) update of FP2 will transition to FiLMiC Pro Studio app that features edit, filter and audio options in addition to all the camera features you now enjoy. To reward you for your patience and early support, the developers would like to offer you FREE complimentary versions of their upcoming FiLMiC Passport photo app (this is the new Jack Hollingsworth app we have been eagerly awaiting), their Remote app and their Time Lapse app. To qualify, please send your email address via the FiLMiC Pro 2 Rewards link inside the FiLMiC Community tab.

So, what you need to do now is, if you are an existing FiLMiC Pro 2 user, you must download the latest version, it is significant. To do that click here.

If you are an existing FiLMiC Pro user do not purchase FiLMiC Pro 2 for the universal iPad update because a MAJOR update to FiLMiC Pro is a few days away and will be feature universal iPad support, multiple custom views for iPhone 5 users and feature most of the new technology on display in FP2.

    Hi,

Where do I find this, “FiLMiC Pro 2 Rewards link inside the FiLMiC Community tab”?

    Thanks for your help!

Do you know where I can find the FiLMiC Pro 2 Rewards link inside the FiLMiC Community tab. If this refers to the community tab on their website http://filmicpro.com, that appears broken.

Just to clarify, you need the app to do this (I have FP2, not sure about FP). From the main screen enter “settings”, scroll down to “community”, and then you will find “Filmic Pro 2 Rewards Message” (shared here by Joanne) and “Filmic Pro 2 Rewards Link”, open the last one, enter your email address in the field, select “send”. You are done, a message will show saying that you will be notified by email when rewards become available.

    Sad story,
I deleted the app a while ago because it was keeping all the deleted videos in my iPhone memory, and now that I want it back, guess what, it’s no longer in the japanese apple store, I will drop those guys an e-mail, I hope it is easy to solve.

Thanks for the information, by the way,

I’m on an iPhone 5 with Filmic Pro 2 which I have bought. Is this app still supported or should I convert to Filmic Pro? I see that I would have to buy Filmic Pro which doesn’t seem fair if Filmic Pro 2 is no longer updated. Also, what happened to the Filmic Pro 2 gift which included an editing suite and other things? I must have signed up for that a year ago or more… But I’m mostly interested in finding out what version of the app I should use and if it is Filmic Pro, whether there is any way to convert back without having to pay for the same app twice.
