We are so excited with our latest Instagram TAKEOVER this time with @iphoneartgirl – Meri Walker and @dleibo – David Leibowitz. Singularly they are hugely talented mobile photographers and artists but combined, they are a phenomenal force of mobile talent! We are so honoured that they have taken over our Instagram feed for fourteen days. On Day 13 @dleibo highlighted the work of a mobile photographer @bluestarflyer and he writes “@dleibo here for @theappwhisperer : @bluestarflyer really struck a wonderfully bizarre chord with this image. I am a student of Duchamp and a lover of all things DADA and it’s through that lens I view this image. The title, “Portrait of the artist as a snowbound psycho kid” sealed the deal. It’s strange, funny, creepy and smart and it would fit perfectly in my own art collection. I try to imagine the artist’s motivation or thought process while looking at their art and when I’m amazed, charmed, confused and grinning from ear to ear, I think DADA. I know many of you who submitted beautiful art to this feed might think “WTF”, but I think anti-art can be beautiful too”.

Joanne Carter is a British photography journalist, editor, curator, and the founder of *TheAppWhisperer.com*, one of the world’s leading platforms dedicated to mobile photography and art.
