Photo Competition – Photographer of Style – Instagram competition
To celebrate this autumn’s V&A exhibition “Horst: Photographer of Style”, The Telegraph newspaper want you to take inspiration from Horst’s iconic photos, become a Horst muse or recreate the composition, light and elegance of the master photographer.
Simply upload your photo to Instagram with the hashtag #MyHorstPhoto for your chance to win return tickets to Paris, exclusive bespoke framing of your winning photo and other exhibition goodies.

How it Works
Follow @vamuseum and @telegraphtelephoto on Instagram.
Take a Horst inspired photo and upload to Instagram with the hashtag #MyHorstPhoto.
V&A and guest judges will select their favourite photo of the week and these will be regrammed for the duration of the competition.
Entries close midnight 13 November 2014.
One overall winner will then be selected by the judging panel including Susanna Brown, Curator of Horst: Photographer of Style and Lucy Davies, Telegraph photography critic.
Please note: Your Instagram account must be public in order for you to submit your #MyHorstPhoto entry (Private account submissions don’t get pulled through). Instagram also blocks searches that include broken hashtags such as # photography. We recommend only using the competition hashtag #MyHorstPhoto.
Grand Prize
One pair of Eurostar return tickets in Standard Premier from London to Paris.
John Jones, framers for the exhibition, will provide expert printing and framing to the value of £500 for the winning photograph.

Joanne Carter
Joanne Carter is a British photographer, photography journalist, editor and curator and the founder and editorial director of TheAppWhisperer.com, an independent international photography publication established in 2009.Her journalism, criticism and commentary have appeared in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, BBC, Vogue Italia, LensCulture, Popular Photography, Android Magazine, NikonPro, DPReview, Which Digital Camera and Which Camera. She has lectured internationally on photography and mobile art, served as a juror for international photography awards, and exhibited her own photographic work across the UK, Europe, South Korea and the United States.Alongside her editorial work, Joanne's photographic and postgraduate research explores death, grief, memory, representation and social inequality through contemporary photography, participatory practice and visual research methods, with the longer-term aim of developing this work through doctoral research.Through TheAppWhisperer, she continues to publish independent photography journalism spanning contemporary photographic practice, mobile imaging, photographic apps, computational photography and emerging imaging technologies.Joanne is available for editorial commissions, photography projects, judging, curatorial work, speaking engagements, consultancy and selected collaborations.
