Saturday Poetry – The Soldier – Rupert Brooke
This weeks Saturday Poetry, matched with mobile photography/art is entitled ‘The Soldier’ by Rupert Brooke. ‘During the First World War, Brooke joined the British Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, and died of an infection in 1915 en route to Gallipoli. The most famous lines from his poem The Soldier are often read in remembrance of those who die far from home fighting for their country, suggesting that soldiers take a part of their home nation with them to the grave’. The Telegraph Joins Up With Color iOS App For Royal Wedding Coverage
The Telegraph has joined forces with Color to bring together live eye-witness photos of the royal wedding and the celebrations going on across the country, effectively creating a snapshot of Britain on the 29th of April 2011. Color is a free iPhone application that allows people to capture and instantly share photos, video, and text. To celebrate the royal wedding, The Telegraph and Color will provide a live stream of photos taken using Color anywhere in Britain.
