Mobile Photography & Art – Portrait of an Artist – Seeing Through The Eyes of Catherine Caddigan

Share

We are delighted to bring to you the fourth of this years series of interviews and the sixteenth of this fascinating series, within our Portrait of an Artist column entitled “Seeing through the eyes”. This is a section that has been created by our wonderful Portrait of an Artist Editor, Ile Mont. Mont has been inspired by the life and works of Carolyn Hall Young, as so many of us have. Young was the main contributor to our Portrait of an Artist Flickr pool and filled it with portraits of so many wonderful people, not only of herself. It is for this reason that Mont wanted to create this section, to enable us to view the artists style through their own eyes. At the end of each interview, Mont will keep Young’s tradition alive, with a portrait of herself, seen through the eyes of the artist. In this case, you will see that at the end of this interview there are portraits of Mont, seen through the eyes of Catherine Caddigan, what a gift!

Please continue to post your mobile portraiture to our dedicated Flickr group or use this hashtag on Instagram #tawportraitofanartist, this way, Mont will search through these artists first to interview. (Foreword by Joanne Carter).

Mobile Photography & Art – Portrait of an Artist – Celebration of the Year 2018

Share

From 2013 to 2016 Carolyn Hall Young found the inspiration for her art in the people that surrounded her and in the Mobile art community. Confined mainly to her bed she found a way to manifest the creativity and art in her soul and thus, stay into our hearts and worlds forever. It has been already two years without her but we will never stop celebrating her life and all the love and joy she spread while she was on this earth.

With her work as an inspiration Seeing Through The Eyes Of… is a series of interviews and collaborations for Joanne Carter’s Portrait Of an Artist section of TheAppWhisperer.com that intends to inspire the community to do more collaborative works and it is also my personal way to thank Carolyn for her strength and exemplary love for life.

Forever missed.

This are the 12 collaborations of this year. Thank you very much to the artists who participated with their unique vision and art:

Lorenka Campos

Eliza Badoiu

Diana Nicolette Jeon

Jane Schultz

Juta Jazz

Clint Cline

Armineh Hovanesian

Tuba Korhan

McBee Smartphoneographer

Jo Sullivan

Oola Cristina

Anca Balaj

I’m still looking forward working with many more talents of the community on 2019.

Be well and be happy.

Season’s Greetings for all.

Mobile Photography – Portrait of an Artist – Twenty Eighth Video Showcase

We are delighted to present our 28th Portrait of an Artist Video Showcase. Ile Mont our highly talented Editor for our Portrait of an Artist Column has curated the another astonishing showcase. Each image is related to the previous and the ensuing, the personal associations that underpin their selection remain mysterious. Entirely intentional, this is a bold and atypical showcase, wholly satisfying, signalling a shift away from poetic documentary and towards conceptualism. Enjoy! (Foreword by Joanne Carter)
