Mobile Photography – Depth Effects Competition Results Announced!

We are delighted to announce the winners to our Depth Effects competition today. We published news of this competition on 15 December 2016 and we asked you to create stunning images using the brand new Depth Effects app created by BrainFeverMedia, in order to win some incredible prizes.

Huge congratulations to our four winners today. Our first prize of a DxO One Camera (worth $500) goes to M. Cecilia São Thiago @klimtt. Our second prize winner is @jilllian2 Jill Lian and she wins an IK Multimedia iRig Mic Field and one IK Multimedia iKlip Grip Pro (worth $200). Our third prize winner is @mabadca – Montse Abad and she wins one Joby Grip Tight Pro Phone Mount and also one Joby GripTight POV Kit as well as one Joby PowerBand (almost $150) and our fourth prize winner is @mauzzan – Maurizio Zanetti and he wins the multi award wining digital Scriba Stylus (worth approx $80).

Joanne Carter is a British photographer, photography journalist, editor and curator and the founder and editorial director of TheAppWhisperer.com, an independent international photography publication established in 2009.Her journalism, criticism and commentary have appeared in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, BBC, Vogue Italia, LensCulture, Popular Photography, Android Magazine, NikonPro, DPReview, Which Digital Camera and Which Camera. She has lectured internationally on photography and mobile art, served as a juror for international photography awards, and exhibited her own photographic work across the UK, Europe, South Korea and the United States.Alongside her editorial work, Joanne's photographic and postgraduate research explores death, grief, memory, representation and social inequality through contemporary photography, participatory practice and visual research methods, with the longer-term aim of developing this work through doctoral research.Through TheAppWhisperer, she continues to publish independent photography journalism spanning contemporary photographic practice, mobile imaging, photographic apps, computational photography and emerging imaging technologies.Joanne is available for editorial commissions, photography projects, judging, curatorial work, speaking engagements, consultancy and selected collaborations.
