Samsung’s New Award Winning Lifestyle TV – The Frame – New Concept with Art

I have heard about this new TV by Samsung for a while and I am very pleased to let you know about it today. The Frame is a new concept that enhances your living space by displaying art, whilst delivering premium picture quality. There’s no need to look at a black screen whilst not in operation.

The in-built Art Mode is the most interesting to me and I suspect to you too. Users can select the art of their choice from over 100 pieces by renowned artists that have been commissioned and selected by Samsung. The Frame can be personalised further by displaying the user’s own photos, they can also choose from a wider range of images by signing up to the Art Store with a monthly subscription of £3.99, or making one-off purchases of £14.99. Samsung’s Art Store is a growing library of more than 300 pieces of established and emerging artists, curated by several international organizations, galleries and museums, including Artspace, LUMAS, Magnum Photos, Saatchi Art and Sedition. Users can change the image as frequently as they wish, saving photos and designs in their ‘My Collection’ folder, which has 2GB of storage.

The Frame comes in both 65” and 55” along with the following additional specifications:

–          Frame size: 80 x 142 cm, 68 x 121 cm

–          Frame design: Art Mode, Brightness & Motion sensors, No-Gap Wall-mount, Charcoal Black frame bezel

–          Art-work: Samsung Collection – 100 pieces of exclusively-curated art, Art Store

–          TV Specs: 4K Ultra HD certified TV, Smart Hub, One Remote Control, Smart View app

–          Accessories: Frame bezel in 3 colours (Walnut, Beige, White); Studio stand

Exclusive features for The Frame also include a brightness sensor that adjusts the colour to optimum levels, as well as a motion sensor that switches the display off when users leave the room. Users can also connect to The Frame using their mobile devices using the Smart View mobile companion app through Wi-Fi for added convenience and interactivity.

The Frame is available with walnut, beige and white bezels, which snap on and off for customisable looks. The no-gap wall mount on the back of the TV enables it to sit flush against the wall. An invisible connection of a transparent optical cable pairing with the One Connect box adds to the illusion of real hanging art.

Yves Behar, world renowned designer, partnered with Samsung and worked with them throughout the process, to help understand fully and facilitate how technology and art could be used in parallel. This was acknowledged when The Frame won the ‘Best of Innovation’ award at the 2017 CES for seamlessly integrating into any space, and redefining how a TV can beautify the space as a piece of art.

Prices for The Frame start at £1,999.99 and UK consumers can purchase The Frame from Samsung’s online store and selected retailers.
