Grand Flickr Group Showcase of 2016 – TheAppWhisperer – Mobile Photography and Art
I had intended to publish our 2016 Grand Flickr Group Showcase of Mobile Photography and Art on Christmas Day this year. I had prepared most of it ahead of time and was relatively well organised to go live on 25 December. However, events took a turn for the worse and as I awoke after a thoroughly turbulent night on the morning of 24 December, I picked up my phone and saw a Facebook message coming through from a friend expressing how sorry she was for the loss of Carolyn Hall Young a few hours before. For a few moments, I thought I was still in the midst of the wretched…
Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 15 May 2016
Human happiness as many writers will tell you is a mix of the rough and the smooth, the aches and the pains as well as the joys of life. Happiness is neither the journey nor the destination, it is simply something we achieve more often than not when when we travel the right way. The images that you will be drawn to and the music that flows through this weeks mobile photography and art Flickr Group showcase have a sense of quiet wisdom all of their own. It represents a marvellous synthesis of good sense and talent. Enjoy! If you would like your work to be considered for entry into…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 10 April 2016
My towering vision for mobile photography and art is to create an anaesthetising liberating brand of photography that is depicted graphically throughout the world, one where the artists themselves are free to explore their most extreme desires, secure within the social structure that we constantly nurture here at TheAppWhisperer. This weeks mobile photography and art group showcase is beautifully crafted and finely snug. Carolyn Hall Young, an utterly talented and charismatic artist takes the leading image this week, with none other a portrait of myself. It’s a fine achievement, Hall Young takes huge pride in her art and the climax for this showcase is so overwhelming – so magnificent. This…

Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 15 November 2015
“Until I can read a story physically, with the eyes, it doesn’t seem to exist for me”, said Edward P Jones, novelist of three works of fiction. I feel like this when I view your images, I curate and create a story with them physically, for you all to view and to read. Each Sunday when I create these showcases, I substitute literature (of which I am hugely fond of) for your art. Your art fills the pages as a stage without words or letters but with deep meaning, in many ways it offers nurturance, empathy, support and connection – thank you all. If you would like your work to…
