    With the PPI rurmored to be be more than 264 on the new iPad 3, twice the 132 PPI on the iPad 2, questions are beginning to arise as to whether display manufacturers such as Samsung or LG could produce them in large enough numbers. According to CNET this morning, ‘the closest that iPad display manufacturers like LG Display and Samsung can get is 2048×1536’. According to a ‘source’, via CNET, ‘they have production plans for 2048 x 1536 displays, starting in November but those are only plans at this point’, apparently the source was referring to LG and Samsung.     Its all been very quiet the past few months regarding the police invesitgation into the saga concerning the disappearance of the ‘lost’ iPhone prototype 4 that Gizmodo netted but now it seems, according to a CNET report that police are close to wrapping it up. Stephen Wagstaffe, chief deputy district attorney for San Mateo County, Calif., told CNET today that police are close to wrapping up their theft investigation and could forward their final report to his office within the next few weeks.
