The Mobile Photography Awards – Deadline Is Today – December 15, 2012
Today is the deadline for submitting your images to the Mobile Photography Awards (MPA) 2012. Although, that’s not strictly true, you have up until midnight PST to make your purchases, you can still upload through Tuesday, with the caveat that you’ve made the purchases tonight by Midnight. I’m a Lead Judge for the Transportation category this year and will also sit on the Grand Jury for the overall MPA Photographer of the Year prize winner, which comes with a healthy $3,000 gift. Alt Photo is a popular app for iPhone photography and one that we know is a particular favorite of our Columnist Catherine Restivo, in fact, Catherine used this app in her most recent Column known as ‘parallel ll perspectives‘ with JQ Gaines. Mac – Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 – Updated
Adobe have updated their Mac app, Photoshop Lightroom 4. This update now offers HiDPI support within the LIbrary and Develop Modules. HiDPI provides support for Retina-enable Macs. There’s also additional raw file support for 20 cameras including the Canon EOS 6D, Nikon D600 and Olympus PEN E-PL5. As well as a few bug fixes thrown in too. parallell ll perspectives With Catherine Restivo & JQ Gaines – Second Edition
We’re delighted to publish the second of Catherine Restivo’s and JQ Gaines’ ‘parallel ll perspectives’ column article with us. Parallel II perspectives is a collaborative space allowing both Catherine and JQ to creatively explore their impressions from passing glimpses of strangers, buildings or even objects, using the same image. In this second article, we have created two separate screenshows of their images along with their own individual audio to demonstrate this entirely.
