iPad 2 Not Expected Until Summer 2011 – Rumor
Businessweek are reporting today that according to a research note from Yuanta Securities Co, Apple are suffering with ‘production bottlenecks’ at their manufacturing plant, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Accordingly, this may well delay the launch of the iPad 2 to June 2011. Apparently, Apple made some changes to the iPad 2’s design just before the Chinese New Year and this has held things up.
We’re disappointed, we can’t wait to get our hands on the new thinner, lighter, faster magical device. The first iPad was launched on April 3, I remember this date well, it’s my birthday and typically Apple release their new iPhone’s in June, this is when we are expecting the iPhone 5, so would they really release both alongside, or does this mean that the iPhone 5 will also be delayed?
The WWDC Apple conference this year is pencilled in the diary for 5th – 9th June so perhaps Apple will launch the iPad 2 at this event?
Nobody knows just yet, so keep checking back and as soon as we hear anything we’ll let you know. Whenever it comes, we are sure it will be worth the wait.
