Mobile Photography and Art – A Picture’s Worth with Stefania Piccioni

Share

A Picture’s Worth‘… is where we ask mobile photographers that have created powerful mobile photography/art to explain the processes they took. This includes their initial thoughts as to what they wanted to create, why they wanted to create it, how they created it, including all apps used and what they wanted to convey. We also ask these incredible artists to explain their emotions and how the image projects those feelings. We have published a few A Picture’s Worth articles recently, if you have missed those – please go here.

In this A Picture’s Worth today we asked Stefania Piccioni to tell us more about her image. Piccioni has detailed her thoughts below, we think you’ll find this invaluable…

“Before describing my new work , I would like to thank Joanne Carter for being interested in it and inviting me here on “TheAppWhisperer”. Thanks Joanne!!!

I took “Pascolo” with my mobile during an afternoon towards the end of the summer. I was on a scooter together with my husband for a trip on the “Montagna dei Fiori”, which is near Ascoli Piceno, where I live. I often go skiing there with my family in winter and in summer it’s my favourite place when I want to enjoy peace of mind.

“Pascolo” is a tribute to a such beautiful and wild territory, where the nature has surprising views. In the total silence , like in these occasions , I feel part of the nature so I begin watching things by different eyes and spirit. This border land flows through the time and places of my identity with its transitions of lights on the ground from the sky. “Pascolo”, the transhumance, represents the sense of leaving and coming back , of living. “Pascolo” is the result of an immediate seduction, of something I realised, that first fascinated me and then disappeared. “Pascolo” is a vision that I want to share with you all!”
