Adobe Lightroom CC for iPad Has Been Updated with Siri Shortcuts Support
If you’re an avid user of Adobe Lightroom CC for iPad and so many artists are, then you’ll be pleased with the latest update. It brings support for Apple’s Shortcuts app, this now allows you to create a shortcut in order to directly import your images into Lightroom. Adobe explain “Support for Shortcuts app. Lightroom is now supported directly within the Apple Shortcuts app, enabling the creation of a shortcut in which images are imported into Lightroom. You can also decide whether or not to apply one of the default presets at the time of import”. Lightroom CC for iPad is available as a free download on the App Store.
MIRA Mobile Prize Black & White 2019 Competition Now Open For Entries
We are delighted to announce the MIRA Mobile Prize Black & White Competition is now open for entries. This is a free to enter competition with three images per photographer being permitted. The Jury consists of four globally awarded and/or recognised with merit for their photography and specifially their mobile photography, artists. These include Brendan O Se, Armineh Hovanesian, Jacinto Lara and Claudia Conteras. The winner of this competition will enjoy a week in Porto, Portugal (from any European country) with accomodation. Sometimes, when reading a book, visually I am often sped far away to artwork that has touched me . Such is the case with an unpredictable tale of passion and pianos set in 1880’s France and Russia that I am currently reading. Love is Blind is the 15th novel by one of my favourite authors, William Boyd. There’s more to this book than an ‘historical travelogue-cum-romance’, not that I have a problem with that. It’s beautufully written, deeply humane, entirely engaging and frequently humorous, what more could I ask? And when reading it, I frequently envision ‘The Lovers’ by Magritte. Mobile Photo Story – Italian Press Trip with Huawei P20 Pro Smartphone
In October 2018, I was invited to test drive the Huawei P20 Pro smartphone with the Huawei UK team and a host of Instagrammers, YouTubers, model – Jasmin Brunner (@jazbrunner) and Photography Mastercraftsman, Alex Lambrechts (@alex_lambrechts). The trip commenced at Leica HQ in Wetzlar, Frankfurt and continued to Naples, Italy. We explored quaint towns on foot, beautiful views via helicopter, stunning shorelines by boat and so much more. These are just a small sample of the many images taken with the P20 Pro Huawei smartphone camera, it’s an incredible device.
