In honour of the @24hourproject, a street photography project designed to document streets of the world over a 24 hour period, created by Renzo Grande @aliveinnyc and Sam Smotherman @whittiersam, we have decided to feature a wonderful poem by Lord Byron the most flamboyant, notorious and fashionable of the major Romantic poets of the day. The poem is entitled ‘She Walks in Beauty’ and I really feel it epitomises the essence of the @24hourproject. Many of you have already seen our new segment to our APPart column here at TheAppWhisperer, edited by Bobbi McMurry. Kickstarter Project – iPhone Photography Cards
I am very pleased to learn of this exciting Kickstarter project of iPhone Photography Cards. Essentially they are flashcards for iPhone photography enthusiasts. The deck includes 10 knowledge and 40 task cards. The concept is to combine both types of cards to obtain one photography challenge – there are 400 possibilities! This project has been created by my friend and fellow photographer Jack Hollingsworth as well as Killian Kunz a graphic designer and photographer. Mobile Photography / Art – Saturday Poetry – Frenzied by Sarah Howe
Sarah Howe is a British poet, academic and editor. Her first book, Loop of Jade (Chatto & Windus, 2015), won the T.S. Eliot Prize and The Sunday Times / PFD Young Writer of the Year Award, and was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. Born in Hong Kong in 1983 to an English father and Chinese mother, she moved to England as a child. Her pamphlet, A Certain Chinese Encyclopedia (Tall-lighthouse, 2009), won an Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors. Making of Centriphone – An Extreme iPhone Video Experiment
In the course for my search of incredible mobile videographers to follow now via Instagram, I came across Nicolas Vuignier. Centriphone is Vuignier’s video experiment, essentially it is a custom made rig to push your iPhone into extreme capabilities. The Centriphone is almost like a drone, it offers the facility to capture your action videos from incredible angles, whilst you hurl your iPhone 6 through the air. Check out the video below of the ‘Making of the Centriphone’ and then take a look at one of Vuignier’s videos captured with it. He is definitely a phenomenal mobile videographer to follow now!
