Personal Mobile Photo Story with Marguerite Khoury
“Contentment with who we are allows us to be free of the pressure to stay everlasting young. Believing that time and ageing can be stopped, is a fairy tale. One of the many benefits of ageing is wisdom and the wise, are very beautiful”. (foreword by Joanne Carter). Photographs and text by Marguerite Khoury She was innocent. Looking at her reflection, smoothing out her hair. Lost in trance. Suddenly the sound of her mothers words echoed in her ears, stop looking at yourself. It’s not nice to be vain. Apple Rises App Store Prices in UK, India and Turkey
Apple rise app store prices, £0.99p might look similar to $0.99 but in actual fact, it represents a 25% increase in price in relation to the previous currency conversion at £0.79p. At the time of writing $1 trades for 82p. This price increase also applies to in-app purchases but not to subscription charges. We have to bear in mind that in the UK our rate of VAT is 20% and this price is included, of course in the app store retail advertised prices. In the US, tax works slightly differently and sale taxes are not included in the advertised prices but are added at the point of sale. In India…

VSCO Closes New York Office
The New York office of VSCO was opened last year to much fanfare, sadly for the company they have now had to close it and the staff have lost their jobs. According to the report in Techcrunch, some New York staff were offered opportunties to relocate to offices in Denver or Oakland locations. VSCO redesigned their mobile applications last summer but the mobile photography community did not receive these updates favourably and their App Store ratings sunk. A further update was released in November last year, addressing some of the user complaints but perhaps that was not enough to save their New York office. We will keep you informed of…

It’s important to not only enjoy big goals but also to enjoy the little things, looking at the stars at night, walking barefoot in the grass… essentially bring more peace to our lives.
