Our App Of The Day – AutoPainter HD

2011-04-26 / Comments Off on Our App Of The Day – AutoPainter HD

Automatically turn your photos into authentic looking paintings. The result from this highly addictive software will look pretty much like a real painted art: zoomed in or zoomed out.  AutoPainter is actually not an effect, it is the closest thing to watching a real painter. It uses the photo as a reference and automatically paints the scene with different brushes, guided by real-world artists inspired techniques.  And as with real painters if you paint the same image multiple times you will get slightly different result.  As our App of the Day, all our regular readers know the trailer for this app will feature on every page of our site for…

Molten is built on a versatile synthesizer that allows you to play and process your own sound samples. The kits can be mangled, filtered and crushed using the multi-touch interface. We are currently reviewing this app but in the meantime we wanted to interview the developer, Peter Johnson to find out how this app was created,…

Master Pieces: The Curator’s View – iPad App Review

    2011-04-22 / 1 Comment

With Master Pieces you can train your “curatorial eye” and learn what makes a masterpiece great while playing fun games and reading Thomas Hoving’s inspired clues and essays.  Kids (ages 6 plus) and adults enjoy playing the game and learning (or re-learning) about these works and how to really appreciate the details. At last, we have managed to tear ourselves away, so please…
