‘Wide Awoke’- Are Female Artists Worth Collecting? with Armineh Hovanesian
Last week, we announced our brand new ‘Women’ section within TheAppWhisperer and we kicked off with our first ‘Talking Points’ with incredibly talented mobile artist, M. If you missed that, please go here. Today, we are publishing our second feature in our Women section and this time we selected a challenging discussion at the Tate Museum, London. Last week an article was published in The Guardian, by Helen Gorrill, suggesting that female artists are less likely to succeed now, than…

Last week we started the first of our brand new format to our Instagram TakeOver’s and Clay Benskin – @clay_benskin performed impeccably. He agreed to publish three of his rousing street photography images per day and we have featured days 6 – 7 below. Benskin’s’ key tropes include, people on the subway, people waiting, small groups, calm and chaotic. Sometimes the subjects are aware they’ve been captured in his frame, returning Benskin’s curious gaze, other times, they’re snatched portraits with subjects caught in movement or rumination. Benskin’s mobile street photography is a kind of visual, impressionistic diary of animated moments of modern day, New York City life. His images fill…
Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 19 August 2018
A choreographed multimedia showcase devised with over thirty of the very best mobile photographers and artists from around the world today. This week we bring you an intense mystical piece, one that forcefully confronts our frailty, as we lurch poleaxed by grief from one image, only to be reanimated with cryptic, expressionistic neoclassical, to the next. Viewing this is a raw process, as is our capacity to create a new life and redefine what an artist means, simultaneously navigating modern life and all of its entails…Enjoy! Thank you to all artists for submitting your works. If you would like your work to be considered for entry in to our weekly…
