Instagram – Updated With Instagram Direct!
Instagram was updated last night (GMT) with a brand new photo messaging service – similar to Snapchat. Instagram Direct allows you to send images and videos directly through the app to other people. There’s no ‘chat’ facility per se, it’s more about sending a singular image or video and then chatting about it. A photo or video is required to start a new conversation but up to 15 members can discuss the same media. When you open Instagram, you’ll now see a new icon in the top right corner of your home feed.
