This is a very popular iPhoneography app but it has proved quite controversial due to the high number of in-app purchases despite being billed as a ‘free’ app. Saying that though, it does have a good stack of kit included.
This free update fixes a prerecording bug on the iPhone 4. Camera Awesome has also enabled Picasa for cross-posting from SmugMug – Camera Awesome come from the SmugMug stable, after all.

Joanne Carter is a British photographer, photography journalist, editor and curator and the founder and editorial director of TheAppWhisperer.com, an independent international photography publication established in 2009.Her journalism, criticism and commentary have appeared in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, BBC, Vogue Italia, LensCulture, Popular Photography, Android Magazine, NikonPro, DPReview, Which Digital Camera and Which Camera.
