We’re delighted to welcome Keith Tharp as one of our new Columnists to theappwhisperer.com. Keith Tharp is a Professional photographer working as Marketing director/ photography manager at a running sports event management company in New England. Keith is a lifelong photo enthusiast and as a result began Champion Photo, his sports photography business in 2005 which led him to his current position.
As well as all that, Keith is one of the guys behind the Tiny Shutter podcast along with co-host Marc Sadowski. They later added Matt Hoffman to the show because ‘he’s a great iPhone Photographer and fun to have around’ and of course shares the passion. You may recall Keith from the recent PetaPixel post where both he and Marc captured a wedding with nothing more than iPhones and Hipstamatic, see here.
Keith’s column on theappwhisperer.com will consist of a bi-monthly Podcast and/or video feature specifically for us, introduced as ‘TheAppWhisperer.com Mobile Shorts with Tiny Shutter’s Keith Tharp’. Although the column itself will be headed up as TinyShutter.
We recently welcomed Richard Gray, Misho Baranovic and Dan Marcolina as Columnists to theappwhisperer and we will have a few more announcements to make very soon. We are growing at a phenomenal rate and trying to include as much unique content from the mobile photography world as our readers can possibly digest, you really don’t need to go anywhere else!
Please join us by welcoming Keith to theappwhisperer family, welcome Keith.
Keith Tharp, Professional photographer working as Marketing director/ photography manager at a running sports event management company in New England. A lifelong photo enthusiast, I began Champion Photo, my sports photography business in 2005 which led me to my current position.
As a photographer I am kept interested in the craft by it’s abundance of challenges and learning opportunities. With photography I don’t believe that there will ever be a point where a person can know everything and become board with it.
It’s that idea of keeping the craft interesting that really compels me to explore iPhone photography. With the iPhone we now need to develop a new set of skills, tricks, and experiences to take the image creation to the next level.
I enjoy sharing and evolving with like minded individuals, this is where Tiny Shutter comes in. I started Tiny Shutter along with Marc Sadowski as a way to chat about iPhone photography and keep the creative juices churning. We asked Matt Hoffman to join us because he shared the same passion, and it’s not just about iPhones.
Living in New Hampshire, I have been published in several local publications as well as national magazines with two covers photos on BMX Today magazine (not in business anymore).
