I am truly delighted to be working closer with The Royal Photographic Society (The RPS). Founded in 1853, for more than a century The RPS has existed to promote photography and image-making and to support photographers in realising their potential, irrespective of their level of knowledge, equipment or skills. The Society also acts as a public advocate for photography and photographers. The RPS produces a range of publications. Interesting report in TheVerge today via John Lasseter’s (Pixar co-founder) regarding iPhone and GoPro being the next ‘big thing’ for movies.. “Pixar co-founder John Lasseter says the next big thing for movies is the iPhone, the GoPro, and the other tiny cameras that we’re all carrying around. He even expects to see award-winning feature films made with them some day. “People will tell you, ‘That’s not going to work,’ but yeah, that’s going to work,” Lasseter said during a panel on modern film audiences at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, according to Variety. “But the reason they say that is because it’s not what they are used to.”…

Associated Press (AP) have published an interesting article today by Anick Jesdanun. It’s a subject that many mobile photographers and artists are constantly faced with. Where to store their content? ‘NEW YORK (AP) — Shoot enough photos and videos, and your phone will eventually fill up. Many phones don’t let you add storage, and moving images to a personal computer is complicated for many people. Help comes from Yahoo and Apple.
