Well, take a look at this, many of us have owned a Kodak Instamatic at some point in our lives and this new concept Instamatic Android Smartphone looks very much like it could the new version for the future, or most likely a very good spoof. Fifth Generation iPad To Launch In September 2013
Well the rumor sites are awash with news right now that the brand new Apple iPad 5 will launch in September 2013, with the second generation iPad Mini (which we hope picks up a retina screen) soon afterwards. According to AppleInsider today, ‘The fifth-generation iPad is expected to adopt a design similar to that of the iPad mini, including more rounded edges and a thinner bezel. Leaked schematics have suggested the new iPad will also be thinner than its predecessor, while well-connected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has said the device will be 25 percent lighter’. NEM/The Hungry Ghost – ‘Void’ Competition – Reworked!
Last month we published details of the NEM and The Hungry Ghost Facebook group competition. This competition involved artists creating artwork that depicted the term ‘Void’. Sixteen artists’ works were selected and these then went to a public vote. Finally the top three were determined and their t-shirts auctioned off for charity. The charities were to be determined but recently it was annouced that Edyta Lipinska a most talented mobile photographer/artist was experiencing very difficult and expensive health issues. Transport for London and Apps for Good announce partnership helping young Londoners develop technology skills
My good friend Jenny Hodge, previously PR Manager for Leica in the UK is representing Switch Communications on behalf of Apps for Good and it’s a fabulous resource. Apps for Good is an open-source technology education programme aimed at providing young people with creative, business and technical skills, particularly in low income and under-represented communities. Participants in the new scheme will work together in teams over several months to design exciting new apps for mobile phones and social media platforms such as Facebook, which could work to find ways of tackling issues in their communities utilising TfL’s publicly available open data.
