TheAppWhisperer and the World Photography Organisation Partner Up with $25,000 Prize Money
I am delighted to announce that TheAppWhisperer and the World Photography Organisation have partnered up for the 2023 photography competition including a top prize of $25,000. Created by the World Photography Organisation, the Sony World Photography Awards are regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious photography competitions by elevating photographers’ careers – from established to emerging – since it started 16 years ago. The Sony World Photography Awards is the leading competition for photographers and artists working in photography. Made up of four competitions (Professional, Open, Student and Youth), all entries are free and the top prize is $25,000. What stirs you? Nothing comes easily, to create or compose something original with meaning of being alive, fresh and relevant, is difficult. One thing I have become preoccupied with of late, is the orality of imagery. We tend to think of photographs, paintings as visual work but there’s so much more there. More often than not we share photographs with others, at a gallery, within an album, on screen, and thus we oralise them. Weather Photographer of the Year 2022 Winners Announced
The Royal Meteorological Society has announced the 2022 winners of its popular, annual Weather Photographer of the Year competition in association with AccuWeather. Christopher Ison’s dramatic photo, ‘Storm Eunice’, taken in Newhaven in the UK last year, has taken the title prize. The photograph led a celebration of talented photographers of all ages from all around the world, capturing weather and climate in their most vivid forms.
