    The arrival of Apple’s iPhone Duo makes 2026 an important year for foldable smartphones, although Apple is entering a category that other manufacturers have already spent several years developing. Motorola is particularly interesting because the Razr name has been associated with folding phones for decades, and its new Motorola Razr Fold moves beyond the familiar flip format into the same book-style territory Apple is now exploring.     For the past week I have been working on an essay examining whether mobile phones have affected our choices of subject matter and how we take photographs.
