The developers behind Camera+, one of the most popular iPhone photography apps available have tested every model of iPhone camera and have taken a set of comparision shots, to detail how improved the camera is now. They tested three scenarios, macro, skyline and low light macro. The differences are striking but perhaps the greatest difference can be seen between the 3G and 3GS and not a lot of difference between the iPhone 4S and 5, but there are definite signs of improvement.
