China – The Ulitimate Mobile App Dragon

2011-11-04 / Comments Off on China – The Ulitimate Mobile App Dragon

As we are sure you are all aware, China is fast beoming one of the world’s most promising consumer economies. In fact, Bloomberg reported that in 2010 foreign direct investment in China rose to a record $106 billion. Within that sum, Wal-Mart alone invested $500 million. Apple iPhone 4 Big Hit In China – Awesome Images Of The Event

2010-09-26 / Comments Off on Apple iPhone 4 Big Hit In China – Awesome Images Of The Event

The iPhone 4 was well received in China on Saturday with over 1,000 people lining up outside of Xidan Joy City Shopping Mall to buy the best iPhone to date. The first in line had apparently queued for two days. China Unicom has reported that 50,000 users pre-ordered the device for launch day. The iPhone 4’s launch comes only 3 months after the U.S. launch which helped keep demand high despite a healthy grey market for the phones. In contrast, the iPhone 3G launched in China a full 2 years after its U.S. launch.

Apple Fans In China Finally Get To Purchase The Wi-Fi Apple iPad

2010-09-17 / Comments Off on Apple Fans In China Finally Get To Purchase The Wi-Fi Apple iPad

Some eager Chinese Apple fanboys queued for three days outside Apple’s Beijing retail store to be the first in line to purchase the Wi-Fi Apple iPad. Apple employees handed out umbrellas as the lashing rain failed to dampen spirits. Coffee and water was also distributed to those waiting in line outside of Apple’s first retail store in China. As staff readied the store for the barrage of customers, over a hundred people lined up in front of the store, with latecomers continuing to trickle in.

    Apple’s Chinese Glass Temple

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on Apple’s Chinese Glass Temple

Considering the iPad has not officially arrived in China yet, Apple have wasted no time putting in place twelve rounded glass panels standing over 12.5 meter (41 feet) to create the cylindrical dome. The Apple logo is suspended above a glass stairway that corkscrews into the underground retail space. Is this the most high-tech Apple store to date? As Apple embarks on a major China retail expansion, not least of the reasons for it to source locally is the nation’s tax of up to 30% on certain glass imports. And of course, China already has a role making its iPhone and iPad. Spectacular The glassmaking industry in China is no…
