Android – Facebook Updated – Includes New Camera Icon Shortcut +
Facebook for Android has just been updated and now includes new messaging and camera icons/shortcuts – it will automatically populate your app drawer after updating. A controversial feature that will not be welcomed by all. The message feature though is good, it allows you to message your friends by creating completely new groups or adding them to your current conversations. BlackBerry – More BBM Connected Apps Set To Launch
A series of updates to BlackBerry apps will be released over the coming days to make it even easier for users to stay connected with their BBM contacts. RIM today announced that Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones, Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones, BlackBerry Travel, BlackBerry App World and BBM Music will now include BBM connectivity, allowing users to keep in touch with their friends, share experiences and discover new things from within their own BBM community easily. Flurry have produced another great chart this time demonstrating that ‘The era of mobile computing, catalysed by Apple and Google, is driving among the largest shifts in consumer behaviour over the last forty years. Impressively, its rate of adoption is outpacing both the PC revolution of the 1980s and the Internet Boom of the 1990s. Since 2007, more than 500 million iOS and Android smartphones and tablets have been activated. By the end of 2012, Flurry estimates that cumulative number of iOS and Android devices activated will surge past 1 billion.
