In Need Of A Good Laugh Today? – Read/View This – Time Travel With Mobile Photography

    2013-04-20 / 1 Comment

I love this story, one woman, Flora Borsi has the most fabulous sense of humor that I totally adore. She has photoshopped herself photographing iconic moments of our time within the frame. There are images of her shooting The Beetles, Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol, Elvis Presley and more. Most of the captures are of her with a mobile phone but some depict other cameras too, none detract from the total hilarity of the concept though. Take a look at the images below and see if you can spot Flora. To learn more about Flora Borsi and to view her complete ‘Time Travel’ work, go here. via Petapixel      …

Big Prize Giveaway – AnoStyle Anodization For Your Existing iPhone 5 – Worth $249

    2013-04-19 / 31 Comments

We wanted to ensure your weekend started, right! So today we are giving you the opportunity to revamp your existing iPhone 5 courtesy of AnoStyle. AnoStyle uses a process called anodization to change the color of your current iPhone 5 to a color of your choosing. Since anodization locks the color in permanently, AnoStyle will hold up better over time than traditional paint application processes. The effect is outstanding and one that we know many of you would love. This prize is worth $249 and does not include a new iPhone 5 – you need to send in your existing iPhone 5, if you’re the winner of this competition and…

Muscular Dystrophy Doesn’t Stop Boy Going On An Imaginary Photographic Adventure

    2013-04-19 / 4 Comments

I think this is an inspiring and uplifting photographic essay of a young boy with muscular dystrophy, allowing him to visualize himself in situations that he would physically love to be in. I am also well aware that some may also find it distasteful. This photo essay was complied by photographer Matej Peljhan who photographed 12 year old Luka, a sufferer of muscular dystrophy to create some really exciting and imaginative images, depicting him doing things that he unfortunately cannot physically but mentally he so wants to. The photographer spent a long time with Luka and it was during those conversations that he discovered how Luka would like to visualise himself,…

Why Mister, Why? Updated iPad Photo Book

2013-04-19 / Comments Off on Why Mister, Why? Updated iPad Photo Book

Ten years after the U.S.-led war on Iraq, photojournalist Geert van Kesteren releases an extended and updated iPad App edition of his international acclaimed and award winning photo book WHY MISTER, WHY? – IRAQ, 2003-2004. An in-depth view and reflection of contradicting realities – from the perspective of the ‘common’ people – that reveal why this war was doomed to fail. With more than 400 images, diary notes, extended captions and citations this iPad App reveals the realities on the ground and provides deeper understanding of the causes that shaped the instability and violence that keep terrorizing the Iraqi people up to this day. From the large volume of photographic…
