Mobile Photography / Art New Year Resolutions 2018 From Artists Throughout The World
We are delighted to publish our New Year Resolutions for 2018 from a selection of highly talented mobile photographers and artists throughout the world. As in previous years we have asked mobile photographers and artists for their New Year Resolutions with an accompanying image or video . Thank you to everyone who has contributed, they all make great reading, viewing and are inspiring, we are forever grateful to you all. When thinking of a New Year resolution for myself, I tend to think more of it as a new year plan, one that I contribute to each day. Some days I will contribute more to it than others, starting with baby…
Mobile Photography & Art – Happy Thanksgiving Post…
Happy Thanksgiving! This is our first year of asking mobile photographers and artists to contribute a Thanksgiving image, representing their thoughts, along with a few sentences expressing what mobile photography and art means to them and considering what they’re thankful for in relation to it. Some have mentioned our wonderful community, some have mentioned the actual hardware, all have made tremendous contributions and I am personally thankful to everyone who has participated in this ray of light. Please do note that I have been working on this article for over one month and round the clock the past few days, to try to ensure it was published today. If I…
Grand Flickr Group Showcase of 2016 – TheAppWhisperer – Mobile Photography and Art
I had intended to publish our 2016 Grand Flickr Group Showcase of Mobile Photography and Art on Christmas Day this year. I had prepared most of it ahead of time and was relatively well organised to go live on 25 December. However, events took a turn for the worse and as I awoke after a thoroughly turbulent night on the morning of 24 December, I picked up my phone and saw a Facebook message coming through from a friend expressing how sorry she was for the loss of Carolyn Hall Young a few hours before. For a few moments, I thought I was still in the midst of the wretched…

Mobile Photography & Art – The Courage to be Afraid – Showcase for Carolyn Hall Young
Recently, I set up a Facebook group entitled – The Courage to be Afraid – A Tender Tribute to Human Valiance with Carolyn Hall Young. Hall Young is our dear friend and hugely talented artist and many of you are aware that she is currently experiencing particularly challenging health issues. This group was made with love and is full of love from all the artists who have joined this group to create and share their images for her. I have complied each image into a film showcase, so that she can view all of them in one sitting (hopefully). When she is feeling more well, I am sure she will…

Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 22 May 2016
Currently, I am on a personal quest to discover and build my knowledge of human happiness. It is a vast subject and I do not pertain to elude quiet or even loud wisdom on this matter. Reading Matt Haig’s ‘Reasons to Stay Alive’ book has been quite insightful; I read from many different sources each day. We can search and scan for eternal contentment it can become all encompassing and is it really necessary? I agree with Haig when he quotes the perpetually great poet Emily Dickinson, “that it will never come again is what makes life so sweet”. This weeks mobile photography and art flickr group showcase has been…
Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 24 January 2016
This weeks Flickr Group Showcase of mobile photography and art refuses to stay silent. The characters within and behind them slip out of their frames, enticing us to imagine the stories of their lives. It is rare and exciting to find such urgent visual imagery, full of persuasive language and strategies. And it is refreshing to sense that the pull of much of this work derives from artistic living, beyond fear. Art is a crushing chore and a tremendous privilege. Think big, as such this showcase represents another advance in international understanding of mobile photography/art history and aspiration and of course, determinedly through your artists’ eyes. If you would like…
Mobile Photography / Art New Year Resolutions 2016 From Around The World
New Year Resolutions have a long history, the Babylonians pledged to return borrowed objects and repay their debts at the start of each year, while the Romans kicked off January by making a vow to the god Janus (from whom the month takes its name). As we have been repeating and updating this featured article now for several years, many artists have looked back and lamented at their broken promises but also as you read, you will see that many rejoice at the acomplishments that they have achieved. In assessing my goals for the New Year, I don’t list tasks, I analyze the optimal approaches in reaching those goals, breaking…
Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 13 December 2015
You may have realised by now that these weekly mobile photography and art Flickr Group Showcases are an expression of love, passion, seduction and heat but also they portray emotions that we sometimes try to suppress, guilt, addiction, shame and anger. What’s the difference between guilt and shame, you may well ask. Guilt is about your behaviour and shame is about who you are, according to more one than source. These showcases above all represent growth, we all pass through passages and stages of life but the question is, can we keep growing? Or will we get stuck somewhere? I am not qualitifed for you to open your psyche to…
