KickStarter – Pictar Pro | DSLR Your Smartphone
We’re always interested to learn about innovative mobile photography projects and this one from Miggo sounds particuarly interesting. They’ve developed a product, called the Pictar Pro that bridges the gap between a phone’s power and camera’s usability with a wide set of physical controls and software features. The cherry on top is the phenomenal user experience: a pleasure-to-touch polished metal grip and an unmatched front-loaded intuitive user interface. There’s a feature that particularly interests me, that’s the Pictar Pro Viewfinder. Many of our readers will be aware that last week I was whisked away to the comfort of Leica HQ, Wetzlar, Germany, by telecom brand, Huawei. Lens and camera manufacturer Leica, originally announced in late 2016 their joint research and development centre with Huawei; working on optical and software systems. Now, this all takes place in the The Max Berek Innovation Lab. The Huawei P20 Pro that I was presented with has three cameras within this device and are co-engineered between Huawei and Leica. Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr Group Showcase – 30 September 2018
“A husband hits his wife to silence her. A date rapist or acquaintance rapist refuses to let the “no” of his victim mean what it should, that she alone has jurisdiction over her body. Rape culture asserts that women’s testimony is worthless, untrustworthy. Anti-abortion activists also seek to silence the self-determination of women. A murderer silences forever. These are assertions that the victim has no rights, no value – is not an equal“, an extract from Rebecca Solnit’s book ‘The Mother of All Questions’ and it’s highly appropriate today. No, I will not be silenced. No, I will not allow my FB page to go black. Right now, we are…

This time in our latest ‘Wide Awoke’ article, with Joyce Harkin, we speak behind the video, have a listen… Several weeks ago, we announced our brand new ‘Women’ section within TheAppWhisperer and we kicked off with our first ‘Talking Points’ with the incredibly talented mobile artist, M.
