Welcome to our fifth Portrait of an Artist Showcase! This Showcase complements our Portrait of an Artist Column edited by Jennifer Bracewell. Every two weeks Jennifer will review and curate work that has been submitted to our dedicated Flickr group. In addition, to creating a showcase video which features a sampling of submitted work, we will also highlight a few images that have caught our attention… offering some thoughtful commentary about technique, composition and subject matter. Incredible Surreal Underwater Photo Shoot
Benjamin Von Wong creates the most incredible surreal underwater images. This is not mobile but I wanted to post it here as the video shows many of the intricacies to create these incredible images. Prior to this Ben was working as a mining engineer and during some time off, picked up his point and shoot camera and started experimenting. This led him to experiment with photography in all kinds of ways and took him all around the world, until he eventually took it on full-time. The underwater shoot idea took place whilst he was on holiday with his family in Bali. He had obtained a diving certificate and thought he…
Top Mobile Photography Tips for Taking Photos of this Weekend’s ‘Supermoon’
With this Sunday seeing the summer’s second ‘supermoon’ illuminate the sky plus an annual meteor shower expected to make an appearance, amateur stargazers are in for a real treat. Sunday’s moon will be the biggest and brightest of 2014 making it the perfect opportunity to update your albums with photos that are truly out of his world. The scientific name for a “supermoon” is a perigee moon, perigee meaning “closest point to earth”. It refers to the phenomenon when the moon is in its “full moon” stage, and at its closest point to earth during its yearly orbit. With the moon being closer, it appears far bigger and far brighter.…

So here is how I created “Limitless Horizon”…
