iOS Photography App – ‘Photosynth’ Gets Sociable
Photosynth by Microsoft is a very competent panoramic camera replacement app but it’s now gone a little further and incorporated a Photosynth community, effectively allowing you to share your images and of course viewing others panoramics. It offers the facility to like, share and comment on images as well as the ability to build a personal newsfeed by following your favourite artists or popular topics. iOS Photography App – Image Blender – Updated – ‘Major Rewrite’
One of the most popular image editing apps for iOS photography has recently been updated. The developer Johan Andersson describes this update as a ‘major rewrite and just tries to do the same things as it did before in a better way’. Essentially Image Blender has been updated for iOS 7, there’s also 64-bit support, it’s faster and more stable with better quality. There’s the addition of the option to save as PNG for better image quality. Adonit Jot Touch support has been added too. There will also be some great updates coming through in the Spring. Nokia Lumia 1020’s RAW Image Quality – DxOMark/Kevin Carter Takes A Look
Kevin Carter our Head of Technical Hardware as well as the Lead Technical Editor for DxOMark and the British Journal of Photography among others, recently tested the Nokia Lumia 1020’s RAW Image quality. DPReview use Kevin’s scientific data in their reviews, as they say here, ‘With the device now capturing images in DNG Raw format our partners at DxOMark have been able to put the Lumia 1020 through its Raw-based sensor testing and compared it to hundreds of cameras in its database. BlemishedEye Mobile Images Accompanied By British Composer, Edmund Hunt’s Music
We were delighted when David Booker aka BlemishedEye contacted us last week with news of this wonderful project that he had embarked upon with British Composer, Edmund Hunt. David contacted Edmund last year to ask if he might consider creating a piece of music to accompany some of his very special images. The result is quite spectacular.
