The App Whisperer – Flickr Group Showcase – May 26, 2013

We have put together another very special Flickr group showcase , our eighteenth of 2013 with some of our favorite images and some great new talent that have been uploaded to our Flickr group – Mobile Photography & Imagery, this week. The quality of submissions continues to rise, so we have decided to make our showcases that much bigger to incorporate as much of this stunning mobile art and photography as we can and to get it out to a wider audience.

Joanne Carter is a British photography journalist, editor, curator, and the founder of *TheAppWhisperer.com*, one of the world’s leading platforms dedicated to mobile photography and art. Since its launch in 2009, TheAppWhisperer has become an international hub for artists of all levels to discover, learn, exhibit, and engage with contemporary photographic practice.Built on principles of inclusivity, accessibility, and artistic excellence, Joanne has spent almost two decades championing mobile photography as a serious artistic medium.     I am so looking forward to considering the work of some of these featured here.
    This past week with all the whining from Flickrs shift in layout etc etc. , there was alot of
    Negativity being directed towards the , ‘so called point and shot iPhone wannabe photographers.” Blaming them for pushing out the old Flickr.
    These showcases prove it isn’t about the gear one is carrying.
