What was your childhood or earliest ambition?

I started to draw when I was very young, around 3-4 years old, that’s why I wanted to become a cartoonist, a creator of animated movies.

First Recognition?

Due to a contest, one of my cartoons was published in a popular magazine for children back then. I was around 12, and I was very happy.

Private or State/(Public in US) school?

State and private.

University or Work?

University then work.

Who was or still is your mentor?

I had several role models, from different domains, because I have a big capacity for admiration. I am following many artists and I try to learn new things every day.

How physically fit are you?

Comme ci comme ça!

Ambition or talent: what matters more to success?

I can’t imagine one without another, both of them are equally important.

How politically committed are you?

I am very interested in politics (sometimes too much!). In the last few years, I was in the street very often, because of the government abuses. I wish I had no reasons to do it.

What would you like to own that you don’t currently possess?

I love Liguria in Italy, and I wish I had a small house there on the beach (and I adore the sea!)

What is your biggest extravagance?

A studio where I can work in that house on the beach from point 9! Working in progress for it.

In what place are you happiest?

On the streets doing photography.

What ambitions do you still have?

I’d love to have a personal exhibition in Paris.

What drives you on?

The joy of discovering beautiful things and trying to create new ones, as much as I can.

What is the greatest achievement of your life so far?

Because it’s about photography and art, I am very happy that I had several exhibitions and that I won an important prize, Romanian Photographer of the Year – Street section in 2018.

What do you find most irritating in other people?

The lack of empathy and of rightness.

If your 20 year old self could see you now what would she think?

“Dude, you are on the right track. Finally!”

mobile photography

Which object that you’ve lost do you wish you still had?

My first film camera, a Smena, a very popular kind of camera at the time.

What is the greatest challenge of our time?

Not to lose our souls.

mobile photography

Do you believe in an afterlife?

Although I have a skeptical mind, I take into consideration an existence of a spiritual world, not only the one experienced through our senses. I am interested the texts and books that describe paths to self-knowledge.

If you had to rate your satisfaction with your life so far out of 10 what would you score?

I think it would be around 8. It’s not a bad score, but there is still room for improvements.
