The company is launching a new app inspired by its original app tomorrow. Hipstamatic X is an instant film-like camera created exclusively for iPhone. Hipstamatic X will be available on October 1st as a FREE download exclusively on iOS. A subscription which unlocks the company’s archive of filters and presets will also be available.

Hipstamatic X includes a camera bag full of nostalgic cameras from the past, including Pinhole, Tintype, and Fisheye. “Utilizing new technology like depth capture we are able to more accurately reproduce these old photographic techniques,“ said Dorshorst. It also includes a brand-new Eazy™ Camera which harnesses the automagical power of machine learning to pick the perfect photo filter depending on what you are shooting.
