Our APPart Winners of the Mobile Photography Awards!
Our brilliant editor, Bobbi McMurry for our APPart Column has put together this stunning collage of all the images from this group that were awarded in the Mobile Photography Awards. What an incredibly talented group of artists we have! This is what Bobbi had to say about it: “So pleased to present a few of the outstanding images that were recognised in the 7th Annual Mobile Photo Awards – special thanks to Daniel Berman for creating and continuing to provide this venue for mobile artists and photographers to be seen. Also thanks to the judges who work tirelessly to cull the vast entries to make the selections you’ve no doubt…
Mobile Photography & Art – Portrait of an Artist – Seeing Through The Eyes Of Eliza Badoiu Interview
We are delighted to bring to you the second in our brand new series of interviews within our Portrait of an Artist column entitled ‘Seeing through the eyes…’. This is a section that has been created by our wonderful Portrait of an Artist Editor, Ile Mont. Mont has been inspired by the life and works of Carolyn Hall Young, as so many of us have. Young was the main contributor to our Portrait of an Artist Flickr pool and filled it with portraits of so many wonderful people, not only of herself. It is for this reason that Mont wanted to create this section, to enable us to view the…
Mobile Videography – Cinematic ITALY – Shot on iPhone X in Brescia
Matteo Bertoli is a videographer whom we have often featured and admired, not least with his latest film, filmed during the 2017 Christmas holidays when he went back home to Brescia in Italy. “I decided to go out and shoot some clips with my iPhone X. Everything was handheld. No slider, no tripod, no lenses. Just my iPhone X and my hands. I used Filmic Pro to record every single clip. The app on the new iPhone X is absolutely perfect. No lags and no problems at all. 100% compatible with iOS 11. I recorded everything in 24p Filmic Extreme quality in 4k. Everything was edited and graded in DaVinci…

We are delighted to bring to you a brand new section within our Portrait of an Artist column entitled ‘Seeing through the eyes…’. This is not only our final Portrait Of An Artist Showcase of 2017 but a truly celebration of Portrait and Self Portrait itself where inspiration, creativity, imagination and skill intertwine through delightful colours and shapes, that impress, provoke, excite, and motivate both, viewers and creators, to keep looking beyond, to keep looking for the inside, to try and find alternate selves for them and the others. Something Different and Very Interesting – ‘Mobile’ Photography with Volvo and Photojournalist Barbara Davidson
This is completely fascinating, at least to me and I like to think that it will be to our readers too. Barbara Davidson is a photojournalist with three Pulitzer Prizes to her name. She was asked by Volvo to test the new on-board Volvo XC60’s camera and sensors. The XC60 is a car that I personally adore, it has proven itself in so many ways and not least with Davidson herself, having survived a horrific car accident in one. With that in mind, she has created an incredible photo story promoting the brand through her art. She utilised the XC60 by composing a series of images, exploring the relationship between…
AppArt – The Difference Between AppArt and Apped Photos – Explained
Very recently our uber AppArt Editor, Bobbi McMurry, posted an explanation (with illustrations) between AppArt and Apped Photos to our dedicated Facebook Column. We have taken the liberty of reposting it here to, ensuring that it reaches as many of you as possible. We would love you to join us! Enjoy this. (foreword by Joanne Carter). Not AppArt One of the most unique aspects of AppArt is that the composition exists in the imagination of the artist. It can come to be through (1) digital painting (using apps), (2) Collage approach compiling more than one photo to create a unique image. This is an image I shot with a…
