Oggl – New Social Network For Creative Photographers From Hipstamatic
The British Journal of Photography, the world’s longest running photography magazine, established in 1854 which our technical camera reviewer , Kevin Carter, writes for today unveiled that Hipstamatic have launched a new social network for ‘creative’ photographers. Camera Comparison – Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z, HTC One, Nokia Lumia 920 and iPhone 5
Gizmodo recently published a large smartphone camera test to try to decifer which smartphone, out of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z, HTC One, Nokia Lumia 920 and iPhone 5 is the ‘best’. They tested them in “four common situations, two in daylight and two in a blacked out corner of the office”. Had we carried out this test ourselves in our own lab with our resident camera reviewer, also BJP contributor and DxO optics reviewer, Kevin Carter, it would have been very different. Nokia Lumia 928 VS iPhone 5 & Samsung Galaxy S III – Video Shootout
Nokia have published a video demonstrating the video quality of the Lumia 928 complated with the Apple iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III in low light conditions. The Lumia 928 will be unveiled next week by the company, it will come with a 8.7 mp camera with Carl Zeiss optics and optical image stabilisation. This brand new app from Manfrotto compliments the KLYP case, which is the first iPhone case designed specifically by Manfrotto. Diptic is a very popular mobile photography app that allows you to create some incredible collages. It has just been updated with improved Instagram integration, what this means is that you can import your images from Instagram into Diptic. There’s also a new option to select the background color when you have rounded outside borders turned on. There are 14 new layouts, this brings the total of free layouts to 179. petalpixel picked up this story of Mark Hirsch, a 52 year old photojournalist who one day, decided to photograph a tree, close to his home everyday for one year.
