Apple have announced that they have sold over four million iPhone 4S handsets in the first three days of sales. What’s also particularly interesting is that now over 25 million users are running iOS 5 on their handsets with over 20 million signed up for iCloud. Mobile Photography Competiton – Entries Welcome
There’s a new photo competition doing the rounds, set up by Mobile Photo Awards (MPA), which inturn was founded by Daniel Berman, himself a renowned iPhoneographer. They’ve set a fee for images entered, this is quite common these days. In this instance it’s $20 for three images or $30 for five images submitted. Over 30 Million Samsung Galaxy S And S II Devices, Sold
We do agree here at theappwhisperer.com that the Samsung Galaxy S II is a totally awesome device, we love it. Samsung have recently announced that it is their fastest ever selling smartphone with over 10 million sold in five months. What they’ve done now is add the sales figures for both the Galaxy S and S II devices together and announce that over 30 million units have now been sold worldwide. With 66% of those sales representing 20 million handsets of the Galaxy S. Way to go, Samsung.

Following last weeks disruption of service to its BlackBerry customers, Research In Motion Ltd have agreed to offer $100 worth of premium apps to download from BlackBerry App World for four weeks commencing October 19.
