2010-09-24 / Comments Off on Video support added to PhotoToMac iPhone app

Galarina today released PhotoToMac 2.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. PhotoToMac now transfers photos and videos over Wi-Fi to a Mac folder. Transfers can be done in the background on iOS 4. PhotoToMac requires no cables, no internet connection, no browser and no emails with attachments. The only requirement is that the iPhone or iPod touch is on the same Wi-Fi network as the Mac. PhotoToMac also works on an iPad, including support for JPEG photos imported via the iPad Camera Connection Kit. The three step process is very easy: 1. 104 million iPhone users VS 12 million Android users on Facebook

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on 104 million iPhone users VS 12 million Android users on Facebook

With all the latest user stats for Facebook being displayed it is now possible to find out how many specific users are using Facebook based on their cell phones. It is incredible albeit not all surprising that the iPhone contributes with over 104 million active monthly users, second are Blackberry users that make up nearly 60 million active users, in third place it is the Android fan boys with 12 million and WebOS/Palm make up 2,500 users. So what do all these stats mean? Does it mean perhaps that the Android and WebOS Facebook apps are no good? Certainly there have been many comments supporting this or is something to…

Apple Rejects VolumeSnap in Camera+ Update

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on Apple Rejects VolumeSnap in Camera+ Update

The popular Camera+ app has had its latest update rejected by Apple. The VolumeSnap feature, the update in question, would of allowed the use of the iPhone’s volume buttons to control the camera’s shutter. This seems like it would of been a useful feature to have in Camera+ – here’s Apple’s official reason for the rejection…..   Offically Rejected "Your application cannot be added to the App Store because it uses iPhone volume buttons in a non-standard way, potentially resulting in user confusion. Changing the behavior of iPhone external hardware buttons is a violation of the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement. Applications must adhere to the iPhone Human Interface Guidelines…

iCam iPhone App Alerts Man To Burglary In His Own Home

2010-02-26 / Comments Off on iCam iPhone App Alerts Man To Burglary In His Own Home

With the help of iCam (webcam video streaming) a home owner out of town, watched as his home was invaded by two intruders who set off the motion alert setting as they threw a brick through a glass door to gain access. As the desperate home owner watched on his iPhone from 1400 miles away he urgently called 911 and watched as armed police officers arrived on the scene. That’s proof if it was ever needed that iCam really does work and for the cost of $4.99 who can argue. It is possible to even set the software to take actual photographic images when motion triggers the system. This would…
