Royal Recognition for Mobile Art as Fraser Scarfe Appointed First Digital Tour Artist

2025-04-14 / Comments Off on Royal Recognition for Mobile Art as Fraser Scarfe Appointed First Digital Tour Artist

As TheAppWhisperer, I’ve spent years championing the incredible potential of mobile photography and digital art, so it’s a true delight to witness this transformative moment for our community. His Majesty The King has appointed his very first digital tour artist for an overseas state visit—an honour bestowed upon none other than Fraser Scarfe, a name that will undoubtedly inspire mobile artists everywhere. Scarfe, 38, joined the royal entourage on their recent four-day state visit to Italy, capturing the King and Queen’s journey through Rome and Ravenna using the most versatile of modern canvases—his iPad Mini. The King, himself a passionate watercolourist, reportedly admired Scarfe’s use of digital tools and viewed…

iPad Mini Nodus Case – Hot Buy! – TheAppWhisperer

    2015-04-10 / 1 Comment

I’m excited, a few days ago I took delivery of a brand spanking new iPad Mini, of course it’s oozing gorgeousness, you know that. But I wanted to protect it, my life is busy, I wanted something that would look good, serve a purpose and prove functional. I think I’ve found it with the Nodus Access Case. The device is held within the case with ‘microsuction material’ and it holds it well and is easily removable too. The case protects both the rear and the beautiful retina screen too. There’s an opening on the rear of the case for the iPad Mini lens, so you can shoot images without removing…

2014-10-09 / Comments Off on Apple Confirms iPad Event on October 16, 2014

As we mentioned two days ago in our Rumour page, see here, Apple have now sent out invitations to what we hope will be a bumper round of fabulous product launches.  September in the Apple calendar is typically dedicated to Apple smartphones and October often sees new iPads, iMacs and Mac software, with availabilty in November. We’re hoping to see a new thinner and faster iPad Air 2, a 12.9 inch iPad and possibly a new iPad Mini. There may also be new iMacs with retina displays. The event will be held at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. at 10:00 am PT/1:00 pm ET/6.00 pm London time. It’s exciting, we…

Rumour – The New iPad 5…Video

    2013-10-01 / 2 Comments

Mashable published news yesterday of a new video (via MacRumors) by Chinese parts supplier SW-BOX.com reportedly showing an iPad 5 and comparing it against the iPad 4 and iPad Mini. It looks pretty hot, it’s narrower than the iPad 4, it’s similar looking to the iPad mini, flatter and more streamlined. We’re hoping that Apple will be releasing the new iPad later this month but we’ll keep you informed about that. Check out the video below and let us know your thoughts, this looks like a great Christmas seller…

Rumor – iPad Mini With Retina Display Coming Q4

2013-08-01 / Comments Off on Rumor – iPad Mini With Retina Display Coming Q4

Well that’s the latest rumour, according to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Apple is about to start mass production of a next generation iPad mini with Samsung sourced Retina screen, to be distributed in Q4. According to the WSJ, ‘Apple is working with suppliers in Asia on its next iPad mini with a high-resolution “retina” display, unlike the current iPad mini that comes with a lower-resolution screen, the people said. The size of the new tablet will likely be the same as the current 7.9-inch model, which was released in November last year. Apple has also been contemplating multiple color back covers for the new tablet’. As we all know…

Well the rumor sites are awash with news right now that the brand new Apple iPad 5 will launch in September 2013, with the second generation iPad Mini (which we hope picks up a retina screen) soon afterwards. According to AppleInsider today, ‘The fifth-generation iPad is expected to adopt a design similar to that of the iPad mini, including more rounded edges and a thinner bezel. Leaked schematics have suggested the new iPad will also be thinner than its predecessor, while well-connected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has said the device will be 25 percent lighter’. Apple are said to still be debating whether to add a retina screen…
