“We do not take pictures, we are taken by pictures” Ernst Haas Forget ‘shooting from the hip’, the theme of our next challenge is ‘shooting from the knees’. Sometimes, as street photographers, we may find ourselves feeling a little stagnant and we may desire to travel away from our usual environment (a new town or city) to find fresh inspiration. However, when that is not possible, changing our perspective can offer a refreshing change. Mobile Photography / Art Competition – MIRA Mobile Prize – Deadline Extended
The deadline for the prestigious Mobile MIRA Prize competition has been extended to 10 March 2016. Each year there is a specific theme for the competition, this year it is ‘Earth – our home’ – to read more about the definition of this competition, please go here. This free to enter competition allows you to submit up to three images related to this theme. All images must have been taken and edited with a mobile device. The winning images will be displayed within an Exhibition in Porto, Portugal on 25th March 2017 until 6 May 2017. The Grand Prize winner will receive return paid for flights from a European capital…
