This is a fascinating video by photographer Jeff Mermelstein, edited from over one million iPhone photographs. In this unique video Mermelstein answers questions about these overseen text messages, anonymity and the vast amount he’s learned from New Yorkers over the past few years. Jeff Mermelstein was born in 1957 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and studied at Rutgers College and the International Center of Photography. His career combines personal photographs with assignments for publications such as LIFE, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Magazine. Award Winning Mobile Photographer – iPhoneArtGirl – Meri Walker – Fire Razes Home in Oregon, United States
It is with deep shock and sadness that I write this post today. This morning I learned that award winning Mobile Photographer and Artist and friend to many of us – Meri Walker (@iPhoneArtGirl), has lost her home and entire contents to one of America’s deadliest fires. Our community, including Joy Barry, Heather Wilson, Deborah Saul and Maria Houtchens have organised a Go Fund Me page to enable Meri to begin to rebuild her life.
