In celebration of Pride month this June, Apple® is releasing two new Pride Edition bands with dynamic Pride watch faces in support of the global LGBTQ+ community and equality movement. Number 74 Tranquil Vale, Blackheath, SE3 was where I found myself yesterday afternoon and it was not only an escape from the blazing sun. I squelched down into the well worn leather armchair and faded into a another world, a world of tranquility. A world that includes old and rare books, maps, art and furniture, just opposite Blackheath common. It’s a world of bookworm heaven, colloquially known as ‘the best bookshop in London’. Curiosities are paraded in the window displays, with tooled leather bindings, caches of rare treasures. The shop flatters every good taste with rarities on open shelves.
