As our regular readers will know, we have been looking at alternative post processing of mobile images for sometime. We have a Flickr group dedicated to this and we will be publishing tutorials and additional information soon to help you make hard copies of your mobile images using alternative processes. iOS Photography App ‘Afterlight’ Updated
Afterlight is another very popular app for iOS photography and rightly so. It has just received a new update, #2.4. This update introduces the new Double Exposure tool. There is also a new set of six instant film frames created by Jacob Wick (@jacobleewick). Forty three new frames have been added to the Script category, there are also performance and utilization improvements. iOS Photography App – Union – Updated
Union despite only being two months old has already proved itself as a firm favourite with many mobile photographers. It has just had a new update with new brush settings to change size and opacity. There’s also the addition of a brush zoom window for details, two new blend modes – overlay and screen, bug fixes and performance improvements. MIRA Mobile Prize – Mobile Photography Competition – Final Call
This is the final call for entries to the wonderful MIRA Mobile Photography Competition – the deadline for submission is 15 June 2014. This competition is free to enter and is juried by a highly respected and experienced international group of individuals (including myself)! Fifty images will constitute the short-list and these will be exhibited at the MIRA Forum – this will be launched on 6 September 2014. There’s a beautiful award for the winner – five nights in Porto, this includes accommodation and food and a return trip from any European capital.
