Etchings – Updated
Etchings is a popular app for iOS photography enabling you to create etched illustrations from any image. It has just been updated to high resolution, up to 3300×3300. There’s also a ‘luscious’ new iPad UI and output and speed improvements. As well as all that, there are four new base filters, Matcha, Sedona, Nocturne and Lumen. Mac – Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 – Updated
Adobe have updated their Mac app, Photoshop Lightroom 4. This update now offers HiDPI support within the LIbrary and Develop Modules. HiDPI provides support for Retina-enable Macs. There’s also additional raw file support for 20 cameras including the Canon EOS 6D, Nikon D600 and Olympus PEN E-PL5. As well as a few bug fixes thrown in too. Photo Table – Temporarily Free
Photo Table is a multi-touch slideshow and collage designer app universal app. It allows you to move images around a virtual table and control these images with touch friendly gestures. This app usually retails for $9.99/£6.99 but today you can pick it up for free. Click here to download.
Flickr iOS App – Major Update

ShutterSnitch – Updated
ShutterSnitch is a great app allowing you to wirelessly transfer images to your iPad from your Eye-Fi card, PTP/IP enabled device or a Canon, Nikon or other file transmitter that supports uploading to an FTP server over your wireless network. This app has just been updated with WebDAV added to locations as well as the addition of a setting to show the network SSID in the status bar. Instagram – New Filter Update
Willow is the name of the new filter in this latest Instagram update and it’s a monochrome effect filter. There’s also a few other improvements including the quality of the tilt-shift effect and you can scroll infinitely on user profiles and other grid views. As well as all that, there’s also a Foursquare button on location pages that opens the Foursquare app. This is a free update, to a free app. You can download/update it here.
Twitter Adds Photo Filters To Android Mobile App – iOS Version To Follow
We knew Twitter would be launching an all out war shortly with Instagram and Facebook and this is just the start. So far only for the Android version of Twitter has updated to include photo filters. The iOS version is due to follow on shortly. Aviary are the powerhorses behind this update, very much as they were for Flickr earlier in the year. There are currently eight filters available for the Android version right now. You select a filter by comparing all your options in a convenient grid view or by swiping through each version.
